Cooperative Gaming & Learning

Research at Harvard Graduate School of Education

Project Overview

What design features make cooperative games engaging to players? How can these features be used to design motivating learning experiences for individuals?

In my research paper, I analyze two cooperative games, Overcooked and “Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes” (KTNE), and their motivational dimensions in prompting players to continually develop their skills, build strategies, and reach mastery with teammates. These findings assist educators in constructing engaging learning experiences for learners of various personalities and characteristics.

I presented my findings during professional development workshops in corporate settings. Below, I included two versions of my presentation (shown as Part 1: Gaming Personalities; and Part 2: Analyzing Cooperative Games).
